President Donald Trump has called for the arrest of several Democrat lawmakers, accusing them of sedition following their appearance in a video urging military and intelligence personnel to reject unlawful commands.

Trump described the lawmakers' actions as "seditious behavior" and asserted that such conduct is "punishable by death." He expressed his outrage on social media, stating, "This is really bad, and Dangerous to our Country. Their words cannot be allowed to stand. SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR FROM TRAITORS!!! LOCK THEM UP???" In a subsequent post, he reiterated, "SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!"

According to The Post Millennial, the video in question featured Democrat Senators Elissa Slotkin and Mark Kelly, alongside Representatives Chris Deluzio, Maggie Goodlander, Chrissy Houlahan, and Jason Crow. These lawmakers, who have backgrounds in the armed services or intelligence community, addressed military and intelligence personnel directly, emphasizing the importance of adhering to lawful orders.

The video conveyed a message of trust in the military, while cautioning that this trust is currently at risk due to the administration's actions.

The lawmakers in the video stated, "This administration is pitting our uniformed military and intelligence community professionals against American citizens. Like us, you all swore an oath to protect and defend this Constitution. Right now, the threats to our Constitution arent just coming from abroad, but from right here at home. Our laws are clear: you can refuse illegal orders." They further urged, "You must refuse illegal orders. No one has to carry out orders that violate the law or our Constitution."

In response to the video, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth commented, "Stage 4 TDS," referencing the term "Trump Derangement Syndrome," often used by conservatives to describe perceived irrational opposition to President Trump. The situation highlights ongoing tensions between the administration and certain Democratic lawmakers, raising questions about the boundaries of lawful dissent and the role of military and intelligence personnel in upholding constitutional principles.
