Must Watch: Comer Goes Scorched-Earth On House Floor!

Written by Published

In a recent development, the Republican chair of the House Oversight Committee, Rep.

James Comer of Kentucky, has found common ground with his Democratic counterparts, albeit temporarily, on the principle that "sunshine is the best disinfectant.".

However, the point of contention lies in the direction of the sunlight. Comer seeks transparency on all individuals potentially linked to the late sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, while the Democrats are primarily focused on President Donald Trump.

According to the Western Journal, Comer, during a House floor speech on Tuesday, highlighted the numerous connections between Epstein and notable Democrats, as revealed in Epstein's emails. One such connection allegedly facilitated Epstein's access to the current House minority leader, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, early in his career.

Comer accused the Democrats of resorting to "selective leaks and doctored documents to mislead the American people" over the past week. He contrasted this with the Republicans' approach, stating that the "Oversight Committee Republicans have posted 65,000 pages of documents we have received to date; Democrats, by contrast, have released fewer than one dozen."

The Democrats' latest selective leak involved the release of only three out of 23,000 pages of documents from the Epstein estate. Furthermore, they made redactions to two of these emails, altering both the context and the meaning of the released pages. One of these emails suggested that Trump may have spent time with a redacted Epstein victim, later identified as the late Virginia Giuffre.

However, Giuffre confirmed that Trump did not engage in any inappropriate behavior.

Comer also pointed out the Democrats' silence on their colleagues' coordination with Epstein. He revealed an email that showed Democratic fundraisers inviting Epstein to an event or a private meeting with Hakeem Jeffries as part of their 2013 majority-winning effort. Comer stated, "So Hakeem Jeffries campaign solicited money from Jeffrey Epstein. Thats what we found in the latest document batch."

A May 2013 email from Democratic fundraiser Lisa Rossi to Epstein, which was highlighted on social media, confirmed this. Rossi expressed her excitement about working with Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, whom she referred to as "one of the rising stars in the New York Congressional delegation" and "Brooklyns Barack." Epstein was offered a chance to get involved with a dinner for Jeffries or to know him better.

The circumstances surrounding Epstein's life and death are shrouded in mystery and filled with numerous coincidences. The Democrats' current focus on these coincidences, years after they would have been relevant, is seen as an attempt to tie the Trump administration and the president's legacy to Epstein. This shift in focus comes after the Democrats gained little from the shutdown.

The Democrats' reliance on Epstein to solve their problems stems from their assumption that any left-wing individuals who become collateral damage, such as the Clintons or Larry Summers, are currently irrelevant. Trump, who was acquainted with Epstein on the New York/Palm Beach social circuit until their fallout in the early 2000s, is still very much relevant.

However, the Democrats' strategy of focusing the disinfectant sunshine solely on 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. overlooks Epstein's strategy of gaining access to powerful individuals by making large political donations. This strategy allowed him access to influential figures, including Hakeem Jeffries.

In light of these revelations, Comer suggests that both Trump and Jeffries should be deposed. However, the Democrats' response to this suggestion remains conspicuously silent.
