Joy Reid, a former host on MSNBC, has recently expressed her concerns regarding the presence of transgender-identifying biological men in women's facilities.
During a candid conversation on the "Reid This Reid That" podcast with fellow journalist Jacque Reid, Joy Reid admitted that encountering a naked man in a women's locker room would cause her to "freak out."
The discussion centered around an incident at a Gold's Gym involving a black woman and a "transgender woman." Jacque Reid recounted how the black woman, Tish Hyman, was "kicked out of the gym" after a biological male entered the women's locker room. Hyman described the individual as a "grown man with a big penis."
As reported by Breitbart, Joy Reid shared her personal experiences from her time at MSNBC, now rebranded as MS NOW. She revealed her preference for changing in private rooms at the gym to avoid being seen naked by others. "I would always change in, like, a private room because Im like, Im not trying to change in front of people like that," she explained.
Reid humorously recounted her encounters with women in the locker room, noting, "Im talking about women women walking around with their boobies danglin, swinging in the breeze." She expressed discomfort with such interactions, stating, "Dont walk up to me with no clothes on and talk to me. I dont want to talk to you."
Reid further elaborated on her apprehensions, emphasizing that the sight of women with "dangling boobies" was already alarming enough for her. The prospect of encountering a "penis in the ladies locker room" would be even more unsettling.
"Im alarmed enough when I see a woman with her dangling boobies; if I saw a penis in the ladies locker room, I would freak out too," she remarked. Reid clarified that her concerns were not directed against transgender individuals but rather about the appropriateness of such situations. She mentioned that she would likely "go to management" to address the issue.
In a separate instance in December 2024, Joy Reid drew parallels between preventing minors from undergoing gender reassignment surgery and the actions of "Nazi Germany," as reported by Fox News. This comparison highlights the ongoing debate surrounding transgender rights and the complexities involved in balancing individual freedoms with societal norms.
