The knives are out between Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Donald Trump.

The Daily Mail reports that a pro-DeSantis Super PAC released an ad that slammed former President Trump for appearing on a CNN town hall. The political action committee stated that Trumps appearance on CNN was an hour of nonsense that proved that Trump [was] stuck in the past..

Erin Perrine, a spokesperson for Never Back Down, aimed at Trump and released a statement in which he said that Trump was focused only on attacking DeSantis and finishing the border wall. He added:

Trump still doesnt know where he stands on important conservative issues like supporting life and the second amendment.

On Twitter, the pro-DeSantis Super PAC continued to press buttons against Trump and asked how his appearance on CNN would make America Great Again.

The Daily Mail reports that former President Trump appeared on CNN on Wednesday for the first time since his election in 2016. He spoke about various issues, from the 2020 election to the January 2021 riots at the Capitol and the war in Ukraine.

Ron DeSantis has yet to announce his candidacy for President in 2024, but many expect him to do so.

During the CNN appearance, former President Trump took the opportunity to swipe at DeSantis. The issue he took with DeSantis was the battle that DeSantis had waged against the Disney corporation. DeSantis has referred to Disney as a woke corporation that should be challenged. Still, some political observers believe that DeSantis might have taken things too far and is now receiving some backlash for it.

On CNN, Trump said, I think [DeSantis] ought to just relax and take it easy and think about the future because right now his future is not looking so good.

Chris Jankowski, CEO of Never Back Down, released a statement about Trumps appearance on CNN as well and said:

A candidate who has lost his luster appearing on a network thats lost its ratings.

Currently, betting shops in the United Kingdom still put Trump as the runaway favorite to take the Republican nomination in 2024. They put his odds at 4/9 (approximately 69%) to win the nomination. Ron DeSantis receives odds of 11/4 (roughly 27%). Other contenders like Nikki Haley and Tim Scott are at 20/1 and 25/1, respectively.

As things stand right now, Biden remains the Democrat favorite to win in 2024, but it is still unknown which Republican he will be running against or if he might have any health or personal issues that interfere with his re-election bid.
