Watch: Michelle Obama Says America Must 'Grow Up' Before Electing A Female President!

Michelle Obama recently declared her intention not to pursue the presidency, attributing her decision to a belief that the American populace is not yet prepared to embrace a female leader.

Speaking at the Brooklyn Academy of Music during a promotional event for her latest book, "The Look," Obama expressed her views on the nation's readiness for a woman president, stating, "As we saw in this past election, sadly, we aint ready." She further emphasized, "Thats why Im like, dont even look at me about running, because you all are lying. Youre not ready for a woman. You are not."

According to Breitbart, Obama pointed to Kamala Harris's defeat by President Donald Trump in the 2024 election as evidence of persistent sexism within the country. She remarked, "You know, weve got a lot of growing up to do," and highlighted the reluctance of some men to accept female leadership, saying, "And theres still, sadly, a lot of men who do not feel like they can be led by a woman, and we saw it."

During her book tour, Obama revisited past grievances, suggesting that she faced intense scrutiny as the first black First Lady. She recounted experiences from her husband's 2008 presidential campaign, alleging that even members of her own party sought to undermine her. "Let me be clear, these were our people who were going after me," she asserted.

"The beginning of turning me into an angry shrew who diminished her husband, who didnt love her country, who was unpatrioticThese people are lying. Theyre making stuff up because theyre trying to win."

Obama also shared insights into her tenure in the White House, where she felt compelled to "quickly define myself" amidst a lack of support from the campaign, which she described as predominantly white. She stated, "So, I knew this immediately. And I knew this coming in as First Lady, that I was in charge of my story, my narrative." This self-awareness extended to her public image, as she noted, "I had to be smarter than them. I had to outsmart everyone and that came to everything I did, including what I wore."

Her book delves into her experiences with fashion and beauty, while also addressing the tendency to judge women in politics based on appearance rather than leadership capabilities. Despite her claims of facing significant criticism, Obama was frequently celebrated by mainstream media, gracing the cover of Vogue on three occasions.

In contrast, as reported by Breitbart, Melania Trump, a former supermodel and current First Lady, has experienced a notable absence of recognition from establishment media and left-leaning publications, despite her longstanding association with high fashion. This disparity highlights the complex dynamics at play in the media's treatment of women in the political sphere.
