She further emphasized, "What do we do when our freedoms are under attack? We speak up, we fight back, and we organize power for the people, and thats what I want to do for you."

However, should he emerge victorious in the 2026 race for Nancy Pelosi's House seat, his state Senate position would become available. This scenario presents a potential opening for Christine Pelosi to step into the political arena.
Should Christine Pelosi succeed, it would mark her inaugural foray into elected office. Her background includes roles as an attorney and a Democratic Party activist, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. It is anticipated that Nancy Pelosi will lend her support to her daughter's campaign, providing access to a well-established financial network cultivated over many years. Political consultant Jim Ross remarked, "Christine clears the field of the establishment left."
Nancy Pelosi, in announcing her decision to step down, expressed, "I will not be seeking reelection to Congress. With a grateful heart, I look forward to my final year of service as your proud representative." She highlighted her achievements in securing "billions of dollars for" San Francisco's infrastructure and environmental initiatives, while acknowledging that the work remains unfinished. She urged San Franciscans to "know your power."
Meanwhile, Wiener has officially launched his campaign for Nancy Pelosi's congressional seat, declaring, "Its official: Im running for Congress to represent San Francisco! Ill fight Trumps takeover, for our values, & for real progress. Ive delivered on housing, healthcare, clean energy, and civil rights and Ill do it again. Lets build the future our city & country deserve."
