In a recent political gathering, former President Joe Biden made a bold proclamation, asserting that the Democratic Party has regained its footing following a series of electoral victories.

He also launched a scathing critique of President Donald Trump, accusing him of wielding a "wrecking ball" against the foundations of American democracy.

According to One America News, Biden made these remarks during a speech at the Ben Nelson Gala in Omaha, Nebraska. He confidently stated, "The Democratic Party is back. Thats not hyperbole. Did you see the election results?"

His comments were in response to the recent victories of Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D-N.J.) and former Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-Va.) in gubernatorial races, as well as the triumph of Democrat socialist Zohran Mamdani in New York City's mayoral race.

Biden continued, "The American people are sending a message, a message to Trump and to his crowd." He highlighted the Democratic Party's success in various states, saying, "The fact is that we had a great night in Virginia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, California, New York City, Georgia, Mississippi even in Mississippi."

The former President also took a moment to remind Trump of his role, stating, "I just want you to know you work for us, Mr. President. We dont work for you. You work for us, not just billionaires and millionaires. You know, this is democracy. And the fact of the matter is that there are no kings in democracies. None. None. But you act in a way that embarrasses the nation."

Biden then shifted his focus to the issue of healthcare, accusing Trump of "cutting government funding for cancer research." He invoked the memory of his late son, Beau Biden, who succumbed to brain cancer, saying, "Folks, I know what cancer research means. Cancer hits every family. Its hit my family hard."

He also shared his personal experience with the disease, having been recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. Biden praised the progress in cancer research and thanked the medical professionals involved in his treatment.

The former President also criticized Trump and his Republican allies for allegedly reducing government funding for healthcare, thereby increasing its cost. He questioned their motives, asking, "Why in Gods name are they doing this?" before suggesting that Trump's policies primarily benefit the "wealthiest people in America."

Biden also took aim at the Trump administration for the government shutdown and the subsequent fallout from the lapse in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) funds. He accused the President of exacerbating hunger issues in America and urged him to "get the damn government open," despite the Democrats' consistent opposition to funding bills aimed at reopening the government.

Biden, now 83, has recently completed a course of radiation therapy for an "aggressive form" of prostate cancer that has metastasized to his bones. Despite his health challenges, he remains an active voice in American politics, championing the cause of the Democratic Party and challenging the actions of the current administration.
