In a recent interview on "Jesse Watters Primetime," Erika Kirk, the CEO of Turning Point USA, shared a poignant moment involving her three-year-old daughter.

The young girl, struggling to understand the concept of death, asked if she could visit her late father in heaven. This heartrending query came in the wake of her father's assassination on September 10th.

According to the Western Journal, Kirk explained the situation to her daughter in a way that was both comforting and age-appropriate. "Yes, my daughter continues to ask, but its really sweet because I keep explaining to her a few things," Kirk said.

"And I said, If ever you want to talk to daddy, you just look up to the sky and start talking to him. He can hear you. And I told her, I said, You know, daddy is in heaven. She goes, You think I could go sometime? I said, Baby, we will all go one day. We will all go one day."

In another segment of the interview, Kirk was visibly moved after watching a video of her late husband, admitting it was the "longest video" she had seen of him since his untimely death. Initially, Kirk told her daughter that her father was on a business trip with Jesus, a gentle way to explain the concept of death to a child.

She later shared a video of her daughter recognizing a photograph of her father outside the Turning Point USA headquarters, excitedly chanting his name. The couple also has a son, who celebrated his first birthday in May.

During the ceremony for her husband's posthumous Presidential Medal of Freedom award, Kirk revealed that her daughter wished her father a happy birthday and expressed a desire for him to have a "birthday surprise." This touching anecdote underscores the enduring bond between a father and his children, even after death.

In the aftermath of her husband's assassination, Kirk was unanimously elected as the new CEO and chair of the board for Turning Point USA on September 18th. This decision was made in honor of her late husband's wishes. In her first public address on September 12th, Kirk made a powerful vow. She pledged to never let her husband's movement surrender, promising that it would only grow stronger.

"The evildoers responsible for my husbands assassination have no idea what they have done. They killed Charlie because he preached a message of patriotism, faith, and of Gods merciful love. They should all know this," Kirk said. "If you thought that my husbands mission was powerful before, you have no idea. You have no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country and this world."

Erika Kirk's story is a testament to resilience in the face of tragedy. Her commitment to uphold her husband's legacy, coupled with her determination to guide her children through their grief, paints a picture of a woman of strength and conviction. Her story serves as a reminder of the enduring power of faith, patriotism, and love, even in the face of unimaginable loss.
