Attorney General Pam Bondi has unveiled alarming new insights into the Biden administration's Operation Arctic Frost, a controversial initiative that reportedly targeted at least nine Republican lawmakers.
Bondi characterized the operation as a deliberate attempt by the Biden White House and the Department of Justice to undermine President Donald Trump.
According to The Blaze, documents released by Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) have shed light on the operation's intent to obtain private cellphone records of Republican politicians. The investigation into Arctic Frost further revealed that the Biden administration handed over President Trump's phone to special counsel Jack Smith.
Bondi disclosed this information in a post on X, stating, "During the Arctic Frost Investigation, we found that Special Counsel seized President Trump's government-issued phone." She described the administration's actions as "UNPRECEDENTED" and condemned the subpoenaing of all of President Trump's personal phone records, emphasizing the need to prevent such government overreach in the future.
The revelations have sparked significant concern among conservatives, who have taken to social media to demand accountability and justice. Many expressed frustration with what they perceive as political theater, urging for tangible action rather than mere rhetoric.
One user questioned the decision to hand the findings to Congress, fearing it would result in inaction, while another called for "major arrests and long prison terms," highlighting the perceived disparity in treatment between President Trump and his political adversaries.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt responded to Bondi's announcement during a press briefing, reinforcing the notion of governmental overreach. "I think this is just further evidence of the egregious overreach and weaponization of government that took place under the previous White House against then-former president and now-President Donald J. Trump," Leavitt stated. "It was a clear effort by the Biden White House and the Biden DOJ to go after the president."
