Japanese Prime Minister Takaichi Sanae has lauded President Donald Trump for his diplomatic achievements during his visit to Tokyo.

She commended his leadership in brokering ceasefire agreements in both Asia and the Middle East, as part of his ongoing efforts to promote international peace.

The meeting between Prime Minister Takaichi and President Trump took place shortly after Trumps audience with Emperor Naruhito at the Imperial Palace.

According to Breitbart, Takaichi expressed her admiration for Trump's diplomatic prowess, stating, As a matter of fact, Prime Minister Abe [Shinzo] often told me about your dynamic diplomacy. Most recently, Mr. President, succeeded in securing a ceasefire deal between Thailand and Cambodia, and contributed to ensuring peace in Asia.

She further acknowledged the significance of Trump's accomplishments in the Middle East, describing them as an unprecedented, historic achievement.

Takaichi underscored the tangible impact of Trump's recent diplomatic successes on global stability. In such a short period of time, the world started to enjoy more peace on the ground, and in this context, I highly value your unwavering commitment towards peace and stability. I myself was so impressed and inspired by you, Mr. President, she remarked.

This meeting comes on the heels of several significant international agreements brokered by Trump, including peace accords between Israel and Hamas, Cambodia and Thailand, and Armenia and Azerbaijan. The United States has also played a pivotal role in mediating tensions between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as well as India and Pakistan.

These efforts are part of what the White House has termed the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity.

During his five-day tour of Asia, Trump has emphasized his administration's commitment to reinforcing U.S. alliances and fostering economic partnerships throughout the region. At the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit in Malaysia, he signed trade and minerals agreements with Malaysia, Thailand, and Cambodia, in addition to the formal peace accord between Thailand and Cambodia.

Trumps itinerary includes further stops in Japan and South Korea, culminating in his participation at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum.

The meeting with Takaichi marks Trump's first official engagement with Japan's first female prime minister, who assumed office earlier this month following her party's parliamentary victory. Her administration has expressed a desire to enhance security and economic ties with the United States, continuing the legacy of her predecessor and mentor, former Prime Minister Abe Shinzo.
