The President's visit to Malaysia is part of his participation in the annual summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), where he is also overseeing the signing of a peace agreement between Cambodia and Thailand.

President Trump is embarking on an ambitious five-day tour across Asia, with numerous high-level meetings planned. After his stay in Malaysia, Trump will head to Tokyo, Japan, on Monday, October 27, for discussions with Japan's new Prime Minister, Sanae Takaichi, on the morning of October 28. Subsequently, Trump will proceed to Busan, South Korea, on Wednesday, October 29, where he will participate in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings and deliver a speech at a luncheon before his meeting with President Xi Jinping on Thursday, October 30.
