Retired FBI Agents Call For Investigation Into Bureau's 'Weaponization' (Video)

A group of retired senior FBI agents expressed concern about the bureau's politicization in a statement that was exclusively sent to The Daily Caller.

The agents, who chose to remain anonymous out of fear of retaliation, served in the FBI for over two decades. They described themselves as a group of FBI veterans who love the bureau and worry about its growing role in partisan politics.

The group identified with Nicole Parkers claim that the FBI became politically weaponized, starting from the top in Washington and trickling down to the field offices.

The agents also celebrated Parkers resignation from the FBI and the courage of FBI whistleblowers Steve Friend, George Hill, Garret OBoyle, and Kyle Seraphin.

The former FBI agents are calling for the agency to be investigated to restore public trust in the bureau. It is no exaggeration to say that [the] FBI has no longer functioned as an apolitical agency with no bias. The top two floors of the Hoover building are filled with self-served and greedy bureaucrats, not doers, just talkers. Its time to clean house, restore public trust and start over.

"A thorough investigation is justified. Creating a select subcommittee and opening up investigation is a step in the right direction. More FBI agents need to come forward, tell the truth and uncover the extent of the FBIs weaponization. Change only happens when we fight for it. I believe deeply that we need a reformed FBI. To address and fix the problems, we should first identify the problems.

The retired agents expressed concern about the FBIs growing role in partisan politics, starting with Director Comey and intensifying under Director Christopher Wray. They observed firsthand that too many FBI current agents suffer low morale, and too many Americans have lost trust in the FBI.

The group identified the FBIs inflating domestic violent extremism statistics, directing big tech companies to censor Americans, conducting an unprecedented raid on President Trumps home while suppressing critical details related to the Hunter Biden probe as disinformation and so on as examples of the FBIs politicization.

The FBI responded to the allegations, stating that it recognizes the importance of Congressional oversight and remains committed to cooperating with Congresss oversight requests consistent with its constitutional and statutory responsibilities.

The bureau is dedicated to protecting Americans from terrorism, violent crime, cyber threats, and other dangers. The FBI follows the facts without regard for politics, and while outside opinions and criticism often come with the job, the bureau will continue to follow the points wherever they lead, do things by the book, and speak through its work.
