A Monumental Surprise: New Landmark Planned To Celebrate Americas 250th Birthday!

In a bold vision for commemorating America's 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, President Donald Trump has set his sights on a traffic circle in Virginia, just across the river from the Lincoln Memorial.

The proposed project, aptly named "Arc de Trump," draws inspiration from the iconic Arc de Triomphe in Paris. As reported by The Post Millennial, this ambitious endeavor aims to transform the circle into a monumental tribute to the nation's enduring legacy.

During a White House dinner with donors for a privately funded ballroom project, President Trump expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, "Its going to be really beautiful. I think its going to be fantastic."

The circle, which has stood for approximately 150 years, has long been a subject of curiosity. President Trump remarked, "It was built 150 years ago, nobody knows really when, and in fact they put a couple of columns on each side, you have two columns on one side, two columns on the other."

"But yet, in the middle, theres a circle and everyone that passes it says something was supposed to be built there. But a thing called the Civil War interfered," highlighting the historical interruptions that have left the site undeveloped.

The President also touched upon past plans for the circle, noting, "And then they were, in 1902, they were gonna put a statue of Robert E Lee up. Wouldve been okay with me, a lot of people wouldnt have liked it, wouldve been okay with me, wouldve been okay with a lot of other people in this room, but they didnt do that."

This acknowledgment of historical context underscores the site's significance and the potential for a new chapter in its history.

President Trump showcased models of the proposed arch, revealing three potential sizes, with the Statue of Liberty envisioned to grace the top. He humorously remarked on his preference for the largest model, quipping, "why does that shock you." Architect Nicolas Charbonneau of Harrison Designs has already contributed to the project by sharing a watercolor mockup in September.

He wrote, "A proposal for a triumphant arch in DC for America 250, in the traffic circle in front of Arlington National Cemetery. America needs a triumphal arch!"

As plans for the "Arc de Trump" continue to unfold, the project promises to be a testament to American resilience and pride. With its strategic location and grand design, it seeks to capture the spirit of a nation that has weathered challenges and emerged stronger.

The vision for this monumental arch reflects a commitment to honoring the past while looking toward a future of continued greatness.
