In a lavish display of gratitude, President Donald Trump hosted a dinner on Wednesday evening to honor the billionaires and leading corporations contributing to the construction of a new $250 million ballroom at the White House.

The event, marked by opulence, drew representatives from major technology firms such as Amazon, Apple, Meta, Google, Microsoft, and Palantir, along with defense industry titan Lockheed Martin. The guest list, as reported by U.S. media referencing a White House document, also included the Winklevoss twins, Cameron and Tyler, known for founding the cryptocurrency platform Gemini and their portrayal in "The Social Network," a film chronicling Facebook's inception.

According to Breitbart, President Trump expressed his appreciation to the attendees, stating, "So many of you have been really, really generous. I mean, couple of you I have sitting here are saying, Sir, would $25 million be appropriate? I said Ill take it.'" The President emphasized that the ballroom's construction would be entirely funded by private donations, including a notable $22 million from a settlement with YouTube following the suspension of his account post-January 6, 2021, Capitol incident.

During the event, President Trump unveiled the East Room's curtains to reveal the commencement of work on the ballroom, which is set to become the most significant addition to the White House in over a century. The structure will feature four walls of bulletproof glass, accommodate up to 1,000 guests, and potentially serve as a venue for presidential inaugurations, although the President did not specify whose inauguration it might host.

This ballroom is part of a broader series of renovations initiated by President Trump since his return to office in January. These updates include the transformation of the Oval Office with gold accents and modifications to the Rose Garden. Additionally, the President shared his vision for a new monumental projecta grand arch near the Lincoln Memorial in Washington.

Dubbed the "Arc de Trump," this proposed structure, as depicted in AFP photographs, comes in three size options, with one surpassing the dimensions of France's Arc de Triomphe. "It's going to be really beautiful," President Trump remarked, underscoring his commitment to leaving a lasting architectural legacy.
