Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni once again captured the limelight at the Sharm El Sheikh Peace Summit in Egypt, following the historic agreement between Israel and Hamas, orchestrated by President Donald Trump.
Despite Italy's relatively minor role in the broader geopolitical landscape, Meloni's presence was undeniably felt, not least due to her charisma and striking appearance.
As reported by Gateway Pundit, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an seized the opportunity to address Meloni's smoking habit, offering his assistance to help her quit after she resumed smoking following a 13-year hiatus. Erdo?an remarked, "You look great. But I have to make you stop smoking," according to footage shared by Italian daily Il Foglio and other media outlets. French President Emmanuel Macron, standing nearby, humorously interjected, "It's impossible!" to which Meloni responded, acknowledging the challenge and jokingly adding, "I don't want to kill somebody."
President Trump, the summit's prominent figure, also took a moment to commend Meloni, as reported by the Telegraph. He expressed admiration for her, stating, "Im not allowed to say it because usually its the end of your political career if you say it. Shes a beautiful young woman!" He further noted, "She wanted to be here and shes incredible and they really respect her in Italy. Shes a very successful, very successful politician."
Meloni's interactions at the summit highlight her growing influence on the international stage, as well as the respect she commands from world leaders. Her ability to navigate complex diplomatic waters while maintaining her distinct persona underscores her political acumen and the esteem in which she is held both domestically and abroad.
