Russian President Vladimir Putin has lauded President Donald Trump for his leadership and adeptness in resolving global conflicts, following the Nobel Committee's decision to bypass the U.
S. President for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize.
Despite President Trump's unprecedented achievements in fostering peace and stability in various conflict zones, the committee chose to honor Venezuelan opposition leader Mara Corina Machado for her "tireless work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela."
As reported by Gateway Pundit, Nobel Committee Chair Jrgen Watne Frydnes offered a dismissive response when questioned about the exclusion of President Trump from the list of laureates. Frydnes stated, "In the long history of the Nobel Peace Prize, I think this committee has seen many types of campaign, media attention. We receive thousands and thousands of letters every year of people wanting to say what, for them, leads to peace. This committee sits in a room filled with the portraits of all laureates and that room is filled with both courage and integrity. So we base only our decision on the work and the will of Alfred Nobel."
The White House criticized the Nobel Committee's decision, accusing it of prioritizing "politics over peace." President Trump, who has been instrumental in ending eight wars and brokering historic peace agreements, continues to receive recognition from global leaders for his efforts.
Putin expressed his disapproval of the Nobel Committee's choices, stating, "[Trump] really doing a lot to resolve such complex crises that have lasted for years and even decades." He further remarked, "There have been cases where the committee has awarded the Nobel Peace Prize to people who have done nothing for peace.
A person comes, good or bad, and (gets it) in a month, in two months, boom. For what? He didn't do anything at all. In my view, these decisions have done enormous damage to the prestige of this prize."
