As reported by Breitbart, co-host Joe Mathieu inquired about the public's concerns regarding health care, specifically the potential expiration of Obamacare subsidies at the year's end. Mathieu noted, "This is the talk, and the president says that he is in discussions with Democrats about this. Is that the off-ramp?"
In response, Senator Paul clarified that while health care is a topic of interest, the primary issue remains tariffs. "Most of our conversations at home have been with people affected by tariffs. So, the number one issue I get wherever I go in the state is tariffs are killing the family farm, tariffs are killing the bourbon industry, tariff is killing the cargo transport industry," Paul stated.
He further acknowledged that small businesses outside the Obamacare exchange express concerns about their bargaining power in securing affordable health care. To address these concerns, Paul proposed a solution he has long advocated: allowing individuals to purchase health care through large membership organizations like Costco, which boasts 44 million members.
