Catalina Lauf, a staunch advocate of America-first values, has announced her intention to succeed Byron Donalds in the House, representing Florida's 19th District.
In a recent conversation with The Post Millennial, Lauf expressed her commitment to continue the legacy of Donalds and President Trump.
Lauf stated, "my complete honor to be out here every single day talking to people, talking to the constituency about what matters to them and what the type of representative they want." She further acknowledged the constituents' appreciation for Donalds, who she described as a "lion in Congress."
She said, "He's not only been a voice for the people of the 19th district here in Florida, but a national voice helping President Trump deliver on the America first agenda." Lauf, a former member of the Trump 45 administration in the Department of Commerce, expressed pride in being part of this agenda.
Donalds, who is running for Florida governor, received an endorsement from Trump, who wrote, "Byron Donalds would be a truly Great and Powerful Governor for Florida and, should he decide to run, will have my Complete and Total Endorsement. RUN, BYRON, RUN!"
According to The Post Millennial, Lauf is proud to represent the next generation of America-first advocates. She aims to uphold the values of the nation's founding while also proposing legislative solutions that will benefit constituents from all backgrounds.
Lauf spoke about the diverse population of her district, which includes young families, retirees, veterans, and immigrants. She emphasized the common desire among her constituents to provide for their families, live in safe and secure communities, and enjoy economic freedom.
She also stressed the need for a strong border and a crackdown on illegal immigration.
Discussing the concept of "servant leadership," Lauf criticized those in Congress who use their positions for personal gain, citing accusations of insider trading and the celebrity status of some representatives. She called out Jasmine Crockett and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for their perceived lack of service to the people who elected them.
Lauf advocated for a return to the principles of the nation's founders, who she described as the first servant leaders. "They quite literally gave up their lives or fortunes and their sacred honor to build what we have," she said. She expressed pride in continuing their legacy and called for a return to these values in politics.
Lauf criticized the current Democratic Party, claiming that their primary concern is not the American people, but illegal immigrants. As the daughter of legal immigrants, she emphasized the importance of following the law and not expecting handouts.
In her district, Lauf noted the presence of many Hispanic families who, like her own, immigrated legally and have become integral parts of the community. She claimed that these constituents largely agree with Republican values, particularly in relation to the border crisis, which she believes was effectively addressed by the Trump administration.
In terms of promoting prosperity for Americans, Lauf stressed the importance of fostering a legislative environment that allows businesses to thrive. She advocated for the enactment of pro-growth policies, reflecting her commitment to free-market economics and limited government intervention.
