An individual known as Eric, who has emerged as a whistleblower from the ranks of Antifa, recently shared his experiences on Fox News' "Jesse Watters Primetime."
Eric, who concealed his identity with a face mask, revealed that he departed from the organization after enduring "pressure" and "ostracization" from fellow members over a decade-long involvement.
On September 17, President Donald Trump took decisive action by designating Antifa, a militant far-left network, as a terrorist organization. He also called for investigations into the financial supporters of the group. During the interview, Jesse Watters inquired whether Antifa's ideology aligned with "full blown communism."
Eric responded, "I mean, a lot of it is. So a lot of it is these are accelerationism. Its not the slow march to the institutions. It is, We want this, and we want it now.
According to the Daily Caller, Eric recounted that around 2014 or 2015, he observed a shift in the group's dynamics, particularly with the arrival of groups from California to Seattle and Portland.
These newcomers, he noted, were more insistent on conformity, imposing consequences and pressure on those who resisted.
Antifa, which has been active since 2007, gained significant notoriety during the 2020 riots, particularly in Democratic-led cities such as Seattle and Portland. In May 2020, President Trump pledged to classify Antifa as a terrorist organization in response to the widespread unrest. Watters further questioned Eric about whether he faced coercion to engage in violent acts as a member.
Eric explained, "Oh, not only that, but there was pressure, there was ostracization, things of that nature where you might get into it, say, because you dont like bigotry in the music scene. And then later on, its, Youre gonna adhere to these tenets, and youre gonna say and think these ways. And if youre on the fence at all, Silence is violence and, Your comrades are gonna become a problem for you, you know?
Eric recounted his recruitment into Antifa during his freshman year of high school. Initially, his involvement centered on recruiting other young individuals, with violence being perceived as a "perk."
Reflecting on his past, Eric described his readiness for action during the 1999 riots in Seattle, stating, "I had little Molotov cocktails in my bedroom and a copy of the Anarchist Cookbook that I had photoshopped or photocopied at the time from a friend of mines older brother. At the time, Im like, Oh, this is just a good time. Its only later on that you get more involved with the ideas, the philosophies, the direct-action ideologies that go deeper into later on becoming like a full-blown anarcho-communist and syndicalist.
In a recent move to address the threat posed by Antifa, President Trump announced the deployment of troops to Portland. This measure aims to safeguard Immigration and Customs Enforcement facilities from potential attacks by the group.
The President's actions underscore a commitment to maintaining law and order, particularly in areas where Antifa has been active. The situation highlights the ongoing challenges posed by radical leftist groups and the need for a firm response to protect American communities and uphold the rule of law.
