Winsome Earle-Sears, the Republican lieutenant governor of Virginia and gubernatorial candidate, has launched a scathing new campaign advertisement.
The ad criticizes her Democratic rival for allegedly inciting the unchecked anger that is leading many on the left to engage in acts of political violence.
Abigail Spanberger, the Democratic opponent, has been filmed on multiple occasions in recent weeks, encouraging her followers to channel their anger into action. As reported by RedState, this action has frequently been less about dialogue and compromise, and more about resorting to violence.
Just a fortnight after the political murder of Charlie Kirk, and amidst the left's hollow calls for "lowering the temperature," Spanberger was filmed inciting anger among her supporters. She was heard saying, "Let the rage fuel you!"
This statement, along with others from her camp, indicates a clear refusal to moderate their rhetoric during this period of heightened political tension. The Democratic Party seems to have accepted the violent actions of their members, as they have not condemned it.
Earle-Sears' latest campaign ad, "RAGE," released on Monday, aims to remind voters who is truly inciting this anger. The ad cleverly uses the state motto, "Virginia is for lovers, not rage," to highlight how the left's provocation of anger, as advocated by Spanberger, has resulted in death, injury, and chaos nationwide.
The ad features disturbing images and words: assassination attempts against Donald Trump; the murder of Charlie Kirk; violence against ICE facilities; transgender individuals instigating school shootings; James Comey and his "8647" call to action; the left's glorification of Luigi Mangione; and the relentless use of terms like "Nazi" and "fascist" to dehumanize fellow citizens.
The American left appears to have lost its way, with individuals like Spanberger not only failing to condemn this behavior but actively promoting it through their inflammatory language.
According to a press release from the Earle-Sears campaign, "The ad underscores the growing concern among Virginians about the tone of todays politics. While conservatives across the country face harassment, intimidation, and threats, Spanberger has chosen to invoke anger as a political weapon rather than condemn it."
Peyton Vogel, a spokesperson for Sears' campaign, stated that the ad serves as a reminder and a warning of the potential dangers of Spanberger's words in the current volatile political climate. "Abigail Spanbergers call for her supporters to channel their rage is reckless and deeply irresponsible," Vogel said.
"Weve seen conservatives and their families targeted with threats and violence. Leaders have a moral obligation to de-escalate, not to inflame. Virginia is for lovers, Abigail not rage."
Virginians have until November 1 to vote early, with Election Day falling on November 4. The choice they make will undoubtedly have significant implications for the future of their state and the tone of its politics.
