In a recent online segment of HBO's "Real Time," host Bill Maher delved into the latest polling data, shedding light on the challenges facing the Democratic Party.

Maher highlighted that despite President Donald Trump's declining approval ratings among various demographic groups, he still maintains a lead on key issues. "Trumps numbers are down. Theyre down with Latinos. Theyre down with blacks. Theyre down 15 points with whites. And yet, in the other poll, on issues, Trumps still winning," Maher observed.

He urged Democrats to seize this opportunity, noting, "Hes down in the numbers, and you still cant score."

As reported by Breitbart, Maher attributed part of the Democrats' struggles to public misinformation, but he also criticized the party for lacking a clear agenda beyond opposing President Trump. He bluntly stated, "Now, some of this is just because people are f*cking stupid," referencing the Democrats' narrow 2-point lead on the issue of respect for democracy.

CNN host Michael Smerconish echoed Maher's sentiments, asserting, "The only thing the Democratic Party stands for today is opposition to Donald Trump." Maher concurred with this assessment.

Smerconish further criticized the Democratic Party's lack of direction, pointing to former Vice President Kamala Harris' recent book as emblematic of the party's broader issues. He remarked that the book offers no future plan for the Democrats, a sentiment Maher agreed with.

This discussion underscores the pressing need for the Democratic Party to articulate a coherent vision that resonates with voters, beyond mere opposition to President Trump.
