New records from the Democratic National Committee (DNC) show that the organization has been paying a liberal influencer to create pro-Biden content.
The Daily Caller reports that liberal social media influencer Harry Sisson received payments from the DNC to produce pro-Biden content on his social media channels. Based on his LinkedIn page, Sisson is a content creator for Palette Management and a student at New York University.
Sisson has more than 680,000 followers on TikTok and another 140,000 followers on Twitter. Therefore, he has a significant following and regularly pushes messages out. Now it appears that money influenced him to put pro-Biden notes on his platform.
The Daily Caller found records that show that Sisson received $6,000 from Democratic Super PAC MeidasTouch for being a social media consultant for the organization between August and October 2022.
Axios reported that hundreds of social media content creators had been given access to the Biden White House as part of their effort to help with the White Houses social media strategy. Sisson was described as an unpaid advisor to the White House. However, the records that various media organizations have discovered seem to put that very much into question.
Sisson told Axios: We asked the White House, When are we going to get press briefing passes? According to Axios, the White House was at least open to giving TikTok influencers access to the briefing room in the White House.
Sisson posted a video on April 30 in which he called out MAGA trolls for drawing the connection between himself and the DNC. He insisted that their claims are simply not true. However, fact-checkers tagged the video as being false and misleading on Twitter.
Comedian Tim Dillon asked Sisson and other influencers if the DNC paid them for the work that they put out. Sisson said that this idea was simply a conspiracy. Dillon was asking this question while on his podcast, and Sisson still seemed to want to put down the idea that the DNC was paying him despite ample records that this was the case.
