Greta Thunberg Axed As Gaza Flotilla Figurehead!

Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg has been unexpectedly removed from a leadership position within a Gaza-bound flotilla, which has been criticized for its anti-Israel stance.

The group, known as the Global Sumud Flotilla, has been experiencing internal discord and tensions, leading to Thunberg's exclusion from its leadership board.

According to Breitbart, Thunberg was initially listed on the flotilla's website as a member of its leadership committee, following her participation in a previous attempt to breach the Israeli naval blockade around Gaza in June. However, her name was removed from the website last Sunday, signaling her departure from the leadership role.

Prior to the flotilla's departure earlier this month, Thunberg had stated, This project is part of a global uprising of people standing up when our governments fail to step up, the people will take their place, and that their atrocities and their complicity in the genocide in Gaza right now.. is not something that we can stand for.

Il Manifesto, an Italian publication with a correspondent aboard one of the flotilla's vessels, reported that Thunberg was seen transferring her belongings from the flagship Family to another ship, the Alma, at a Tunisian dock. Thunberg clarified her new role, stating, We all have a role: mine will not be on the board, but as an organizer and participant.

This recent development marks Thunberg's second attempt to reach the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip by sea. Her previous endeavor in June ended with her and other pro-Palestinian activists being detained and subsequently deported by Israeli authorities.

The ongoing efforts of the flotilla highlight the contentious nature of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, with Thunberg's involvement drawing significant attention to the cause.
