During a recent appearance on CNN's "The Source," Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) addressed her decision to share a controversial video that likened Charlie Kirk to Dr.

Frankenstein, ultimately meeting his demise at the hands of his own creation.

Omar explained her actions, stating, "Because there were a lot of things in the video that I did agree with. Obviously, we share videos, we dont have to agree with every single word, but I do believe he was a reprehensible, hateful man."

As reported by Breitbart, host Kaitlan Collins pressed Omar on her motivations for reposting the video, which has drawn criticism for its inflammatory content.

Collins inquired, "There was a town hall that you had six days ago. You called Kirk a hateful man, and you had reposted a video that Im sure youve seen, youve taken criticism for. Its a video that called him a reprehensible human being and said Kirk was Dr. Frankenstein and his monster shot him through the neck. Why repost that video?"

Omar reiterated her stance, emphasizing her agreement with certain aspects of the video while condemning Kirk's views, which she described as dismissive of her identity and capabilities.

Omar further clarified her position on political violence, stating, "I condemn political violence, and I obviously condemn the assassination of Charlie Kirk." She also highlighted her commitment to addressing gun violence, noting, "I put out a tweet right when he was killed that political violence is wrong and that we should work everything within our power to end gun violence in this country."

The discourse surrounding Omar's comments underscores the ongoing tension between progressive and conservative viewpoints, as well as the broader debate over free speech and its limits in political discourse.
