Trumps Border Blitz Slashes Illegal Crossings To Historic 50-Year Low!

As the fiscal year 2025 draws to a close, the United States Border Patrol is witnessing a significant decrease in the arrests of illegal aliens crossing the border between ports of entry.

The numbers have plummeted to a level not seen since 1970, marking a dramatic shift in enforcement under President Trump's stringent border policies.

According to Breitbart, a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) official has revealed that the agency is set to conclude the year with fewer Border Patrol arrests of illegal aliens than any time since 1970. This achievement is particularly noteworthy given that more than three months of this period saw a surge in illegal alien traffic during the tail end of the Biden administration.

The DHS official further disclosed to Breitbart Texas that the Border Patrol's apprehensions of illegal aliens along the southwest border are projected to total around 235,000 by the end of the fiscal year on September 30. A staggering 70 percent of these apprehensions, nearly 170,000, occurred during the final three months of the Biden administration. In contrast, under the Trump administration's watch over the past eight months, Border Patrol agents have made fewer than 70,000 apprehensions. Historical records indicate that the agency arrested 201,780 illegal aliens along the southwest border in 1970 and 263,991 in 1971. This year's apprehension total, largely attributable to the Trump administration, is set to fall significantly short of the 1971 total.

In the first ten months of this fiscal year, which commenced on October 1, 2025, Border Patrol agents encountered 222,863 migrants who illegally crossed the border between ports of entry. Breitbart Texas reported on September 3, based on unofficial reports, that approximately 6,300 migrants were apprehended in August. The DHS official estimates that the September apprehensions will be well below 6,000, bringing the year's total to 235,000 migrant apprehensions.

To put this into perspective, in May 2022, at the height of the Biden border crisis, agents apprehended 223,370 migrants in just one month. The Biden administration's lax border policies in FY22 led to a staggering 2,206,436 migrant apprehensions. This year's estimated total of approximately 235,000 represents a drop of over 89 percent from that year and nearly 85 percent from the previous year.

During the four fiscal years of the Biden administration (FY21-24), Border Patrol agents apprehended a total of 7,442,003 migrants. In stark contrast, the four fiscal years of Trumps first term (FY17-20) saw the apprehension of only 2,152,655 migrants less than the number apprehended in Bidens FY22 alone.

The DHS official informed Breitbart Texas that the monthly Border Patrol apprehensions of illegal aliens at the southwest border have dropped from an average of 50,000 per month during the last months of the Biden administration to less than 7,000 in the eight months since, under the new stricter border security measures implemented under President Trump.

This dramatic shift in border enforcement is a testament to the effectiveness of President Trump's stringent border policies. It underscores the stark contrast between the conservative approach of limited government and individual freedom, and the liberal policies that often lead to unchecked illegal immigration. The plummeting arrest numbers are a clear indication of the success of conservative principles in action, demonstrating the potential for effective border control when the government prioritizes the security and sovereignty of its nation.
