Chuck Todd Makes Shocking U-Turn On Presidential Health CoverageNow That Trumps In Charge! (Video)

In a recent episode of "The Chuck ToddCast," Chuck Todd, former moderator of "Meet The Press," made striking remarks concerning President Donald Trump's health.

This comes after Todd had previously defended journalists for refraining from similar speculations about Joe Biden's health. In a June episode, Todd emphasized the challenges of reporting on a politician's health, noting that it is "easy to, frankly, get shamed out of doing it."

However, in his latest podcast, Todd did not hesitate to assert that Trump has "clearly got some health issues," while criticizing the president and his supporters for their scrutiny of Hillary Clinton's and Biden's health.

According to WND, Todd remarked, "These health rumors, he only has himself to blame. And the entire Trump world only has themselves to blame for this, right? They live in this world of conspiracy and misinformation."

He accused Trump and his allies of fabricating rumors about Clinton's health in 2016 and Biden's in 2020 and 2024, even suggesting that they initiated congressional hearings based on these self-created rumors. Todd continued, "So, guess what? Good for the goose, good for the gander. All weekend long: Wheres Donald Trump? How come were not seeing him? Bottom line is hes clearly got some health issues."

Images of President Trump with swollen legs and a bruised hand have circulated online, prompting questions about his health. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt informed reporters in July that Trump had undergone physical examinations and was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), yet maintained he is in good health.

Todd questioned the transparency surrounding Trump's health, asking, "The lack of transparency on his health what is going on? Why are both of his hands bruised?" He speculated that Trump might be taking medication causing visible bruising, potentially as a preventive measure against stroke or heart attack.

Todd's comments highlight a perceived double standard in media coverage of health issues among political figures. In April, Todd criticized legacy media for its gentle approach to Biden's age-related concerns. He stated, "I sit here, and Ill defend a little bit of this in that I would argue the reason people were able to come to their own conclusion on Joe Biden is because of the media coverage."

Todd suggested that subtle cues in media coverage allowed the public to form their own opinions about Biden's health, despite a reluctance to draw explicit conclusions.

For years, voters and Republicans have expressed concerns about Biden's mental fitness, particularly after his June 2024 debate performance against Trump. However, legacy media outlets have often dismissed the validity of these concerns.

This ongoing debate over transparency and media bias underscores the importance of consistent standards in reporting on the health of public figures, regardless of political affiliation.
