In a recent appearance on NBC's "Meet the Press," Representative Ro Khanna (D-CA) revealed plans for a significant press conference alongside Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY).
The event, scheduled for Wednesday, is anticipated to be "explosive," as it will address the contentious issue surrounding the files of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
According to Breitbart, host Kristen Welker broached the topic of transparency, specifically concerning the bipartisan bill aimed at releasing all files related to Epstein. Congress had adjourned without voting on this legislation, prompting Welker to question Khanna about its future prospects.
Khanna expressed optimism, stating, "I'm very confident it will. I spoke to Congressman Massie. You had us both on a few weeks ago. We will have the petition live on September 2. We have all 212 Democrats committed to signing it. He has 12 Republicans, only six of them have to sign it."
Khanna further elaborated on the upcoming press conference, emphasizing its potential impact. "What will be explosive is the September 3 press conference that both of us are having with 10 Epstein victims, many who have never spoken out before. Theyre going to be on the steps of the Capitol. They will be telling their story, and they will be saying clearly to the American public that they want the release of the Epstein files for full closure on this matter," he stated.
This initiative underscores a broader push for transparency and accountability, aligning with conservative values of limited government intervention and individual freedom. The involvement of victims who have yet to share their experiences adds a poignant dimension to the call for disclosure, highlighting the enduring quest for justice and truth in this high-profile case.
