Bill Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States, has recently sparked concerns regarding his health after being seen in the Hamptons with what appeared to be a portable defibrillator.
The 79-year-old Democrat was accompanied by his wife, Hillary Clinton, and an individual carrying what seemed to be a medical device. The New York Post identified the device as resembling a Propaq MD Air Medical Bag.
As reported by Fox News, this incident follows a previous sighting just two months ago, where Clinton was observed stumbling on a New York City sidewalk outside the 92NY cultural center. He was attending an event for his book, "First Gentleman," co-authored with James Patterson. Clinton's health has been a topic of public interest for over two decades, beginning with his post-presidential years.
In 2004, Clinton underwent a significant medical procedurea quadruple bypass surgery. At that time, ABC News highlighted that doctors revealed Clinton narrowly avoided a major heart attack, with nearly complete blockage in some arteries.
During a subsequent interview with Diane Sawyer on "Good Morning America," Clinton, then 58, acknowledged his oversight of warning signs, stating, "That was my fault. I don't blame my doctors or anybody else. I was insufficiently vigilant."
In 2010, Clinton faced another health scare, requiring coronary stents after experiencing chest pain. This prompted him to adopt a near-vegan diet, earning him the title of "2010 Person of the Year" from PETA for promoting plant-based eating.
Before these health challenges, Clinton was known for his hearty appetite, famously ordering a meal at Katz's Delicatessen in New York City that included two hot dogs, a pastrami sandwich, fries, a diet ginger ale, and a decaf coffee.
In recent years, Clinton has continued to face health issues, including a hospitalization for a urinary tract infection in 2021, a bout with COVID-19 in 2022, and another hospitalization for the flu.
