Anthony Weiner Weighs In On NYC's Mayoral RaceGives His Prediction!

Disgraced former congressman Anthony Weiner has ventured into the political fray once more, offering a striking forecast regarding the New York City mayoral contest.

He asserts that leading Democrats will find themselves compelled to endorse Zohran Mamdani, the leftist nominee.

During an appearance on WABC 770 AMs The Cats Roundtable, Weiner expressed his belief that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries will have no alternative but to support Mamdani, given his status as the party's official candidate.

"At the end of the day, people like Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries, they are going to have to endorse the nominee of their party," Weiner stated. As reported by the Daily Caller, Weiner acknowledged that while some moderate Democrats might hesitate due to Mamdani's progressive stances, the party's leadership cannot shy away from the inevitable endorsement.

Weiner further noted that Schumer and Jeffries have been treading carefully with their endorsements, striving to shield moderate candidates in anticipation of the 2026 midterms. "They dont want to harm their moderate candidates all around the country, which are the ones they need to take back the House and Senate," he explained.

This cautious approach underscores the delicate balance the Democratic leadership seeks to maintain between progressive and moderate factions.

Despite these complexities, Weiner remains convinced of the outcome. "Unfortunately, or fortunately I think were going to have Zohran Mamdani as the mayor in New York City," he remarked, suggesting that Mamdani will ultimately garner both party backing and triumph in the general election.

This prediction highlights the ongoing tension within the Democratic Party as it navigates the ideological spectrum in pursuit of electoral success.
