President Donald Trump announced his intention to turn his attention to Chicago, Illinois, following his efforts to address crime in Washington, D.C.

The President initially declared a crime emergency in the nation's capital in early August, subsequently deploying the National Guard to tackle the escalating crisis. During a meeting with reporters, Trump expressed his plans to focus on Chicago next, with New York City potentially following suit.

As reported by the Daily Caller, Trump criticized Chicago's leadership, stating, "Chicago is a mess. You have an incompetent mayor, grossly incompetent, and well straighten that one out probably next, that will be our next one after this, and it wont even be tough. And the people in Chicago, Mr. Vice President, are screaming for us to come."

The President's remarks underscore his commitment to addressing crime in major urban centers, a stance that aligns with conservative values of law and order.

Trump further elaborated on his strategy, suggesting that residents of these cities, despite any initial opposition, would ultimately welcome federal intervention. "So I think Chicago will be our next and then well help with New York, and were going to help with and I think, really, I think a lot of and a lot of these people that are, you see on television, they are including the people in this audience. Theyll say bad things about me, and then theyll say, thank God hes here, because half of them got mugged, and they dont want to get mugged again," he continued.

The President also indicated his willingness to declare a National Emergency to maintain the momentum of his crime-fighting initiatives if Congress fails to extend the 30-day limit on troop deployment in Washington, D.C.

This approach highlights his readiness to utilize executive powers to uphold public safety, a principle often emphasized in conservative circles.

Since the deployment of the National Guard on August 7th, significant progress has been reported. A White House official informed the Daily Caller that 719 arrests have been made, with 300 of those involving illegal aliens accused of various crimes, including assault, rape, and drug smuggling.

Additionally, five known gang members have been apprehended, including an alleged MS-13 member with a history of legal infractions.

The operation has seen the involvement of 2,300 agents from multiple federal agencies, such as the FBI, the United States Secret Service, and Homeland Security Investigations. This collaboration underscores the administration's commitment to a comprehensive approach in tackling urban crime.

When questioned about the administration's plans for other cities, Trump responded, "When were ready, well go and well straighten out Chicago, just like we did D.C. Chicago is very dangerous. Great place. I built great stuff there. I have the most beautiful building in Chicago, I think. But I hate to see whats happened to Chicago. Chicago was our greatest city."

His comments reflect a personal connection to Chicago and a determination to restore its former glory, aligning with conservative ideals of revitalizing American cities through decisive action.
