Trump Slams Smithsonian As Out Of ControlPromises Crackdown Just Like Higher Education!

President Donald Trump has announced a bold initiative to eradicate what he perceives as "wokeness" from the Smithsonian Institution and other museums in Washington, D.C.

His approach mirrors the administration's previous efforts to address similar issues within higher education institutions. Trump took to Truth Social to express his concerns, stating, "The Museums throughout Washington, but all over the Country are, essentially, the last remaining segment of 'WOKE.'

The Smithsonian is OUT OF CONTROL, where everything discussed is how horrible our Country is, how bad Slavery was, and how unaccomplished the downtrodden have been Nothing about Success, nothing about Brightness, nothing about the Future."

According to The Post Millennial, Trump has instructed his legal team to scrutinize museum practices, aiming to replicate the progress made in colleges and universities. "We are not going to allow this to happen, and I have instructed my attorneys to go through the Museums, and start the exact same process that has been done with Colleges and Universities where tremendous progress has been made. This Country cannot be WOKE, because WOKE IS BROKE. We have the 'HOTTEST' Country in the World, and we want people to talk about it, including in our Museums," Trump declared.

The administration's focus on educational institutions began shortly after Trump assumed office, targeting alleged discrimination in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, as well as addressing antisemitism on campuses. This latest move follows a letter from the White House to the Smithsonian, urging compliance with the president's "Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History" executive order.

The directive emphasizes celebrating American exceptionalism, eliminating divisive narratives, and bolstering trust in cultural institutions, all in preparation for the nation's 250th anniversary in 2026.

Trump reiterated his stance last Thursday, emphasizing the need for museums to present American history impartially. "We want their museums to talk about the history of our country in a fair manner, not in a woke manner or in a racist manner, which is what many of them, not all of them, but many of them are doing," he remarked.

The Smithsonian has previously faced criticism, notably in 2020 when the National Museum of African American History & Culture released a controversial "guide" that associated "white" values with concepts such as "rugged individualism," "family structure," and "work ethic."

This latest initiative by Trump underscores a continued effort to reshape the narrative within America's cultural and educational institutions, aligning them with a vision that champions traditional values and national pride.
