A recent report has surfaced, alleging that the Pentagon has rescinded the security clearance of Susan Miller, a former CIA officer.
Miller previously asserted her involvement in crafting the 2016 U.S. Intelligence Community Assessment, which was instrumental in the accusations against President Donald Trump concerning Russian collusion during the election.
According to American Military News, The Federalist disclosed on Thursday that two officials from the Trump administration confirmed the revocation of Miller's security clearance. An unnamed senior defense official expressed strong disapproval, stating, "This woman totally shouldnt hold a high level security clearance after pushing the Russia Hoax. All she did was lie to the American people to hurt Trump."
Echoing this sentiment, a senior Trump official remarked, "Russian Hoaxers sought to undermine President Trumps entire first term in office. A woman involved in the Russia Hoax cannot be trusted with a security clearance. Therefore, it has been revoked."
In a recent podcast, Miller claimed she "headed up the report team" responsible for the 2016 assessment targeting Trump. However, sources cited by Racket News in July contradicted her claim, suggesting that Miller did not play a significant role. A senior intelligence official informed Racket News that Miller was "not an author" and "not involved," while another source familiar with the assessment stated, "[S]hes not the author of the ICA she wasnt leading this effort. So its just totally bizarre that she claims the opposite."
The controversy surrounding Miller's role in the assessment has been further fueled by revelations from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. In July, Gabbard released evidence indicating that members of former President Barack Obama's national security cabinet "manufactured and politicized intelligence," leading to what she described as a "coup" against Trump.
This evidence challenged the credibility of the intelligence alleging collusion between Trump and Russia. In response, Miller accused Gabbard of deceit, telling NBC News, "The director of national intelligence and the White House are lying, again. We definitely had the intel to show with high probability that the specific goal of the Russians was to get Trump elected." She added, "At the same time, we found no two-way collusion between Trump or his team with the Russians at that time."
The revocation of Miller's security clearance underscores the ongoing debate over the legitimacy of the Russia collusion narrative and the integrity of those involved in its propagation. As the political landscape continues to evolve, the scrutiny of past actions and decisions remains a focal point for both supporters and critics of President Trump.
