The Department of Homeland Security has unveiled plans for a new U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility, set to be established at the Miami Correctional Facility near Bunker Hill, Indiana.

This initiative, spearheaded by President Donald Trump's administration, aims to detain what officials describe as the "worst of the worst" illegal immigrants.

According to American Military News, the Department of Homeland Security announced a collaboration with the state of Indiana to expand ICE's detention capacity by 1,000 beds at the Miami Correctional Center. This new facility, dubbed the "Speedway Slammer," is part of a broader effort to intensify the crackdown on illegal immigration.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem emphasized the significance of this development, stating, "COMING SOON to Indiana: The Speedway Slammer. Today, were announcing a new partnership with the state of Indiana to expand detention bed space by 1,000 beds. Thanks to Governor Braun for his partnership to help remove the worst of the worst out of our country."

She further warned, "If you are in America illegally, you could find yourself in Indianas Speedway Slammer. Avoid arrest and self deport now using the CBP Home App."

This initiative marks the second state partnership under President Trump's administration aimed at increasing ICE's detention capacity. The expansion follows the President's "One Big Beautiful Bill," which allocated funds for 80,000 new beds to facilitate the detention and deportation of criminal illegal aliens.

Governor Mike Braun of Indiana expressed his support for the initiative, stating, "We are proud to work with President Trump and Secretary Noem as they remove the worst of the worst with this innovative partnership. Indiana is taking a comprehensive and collaborative approach to combating illegal immigration and will continue to lead the way among states."

In a move that underscores the administration's commitment to this initiative, the Department of Homeland Security shared an image on social media featuring an ICE race car on a track, with the Speedway Slammer prominently displayed in the background. This visual representation serves as a symbolic reminder of the administration's determination to address illegal immigration through robust enforcement measures.

As the nation grapples with the complexities of immigration policy, this development highlights the administration's focus on prioritizing the removal of criminal elements from the country, reinforcing the principles of law and order.
