In a recent encounter, investigative journalist Benny Johnson posed a question to the Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, that has been on the minds of many Americans for some time: Is Operation Mockingbird still operational?.
Gabbard's response was a confirmation that the Trump administration is currently engaged in a struggle against rogue intelligence operatives deeply embedded within the federal government. These operatives, she suggested, are working in conjunction with corporate media to subvert the will of the American people and obstruct the President's agenda.
Gabbard refrained from explicitly mentioning "Operation Mockingbird," but her comments left little room for doubt. As reported by Gateway Pundit, Operation Mockingbird was initially a CIA initiative designed to infiltrate and manipulate major news organizations.
The program used planted narratives, compromised journalists, and covert funding to sway public opinion in favor of the regime. Although it was reportedly disbanded in the 1970s, traces of its influence can be seen in various incidents, from the Trump-Russia hoax to the coordinated censorship of COVID dissidents and the concealment of the Biden laptop scandal.
Gabbard's statements strongly suggest that the same forces that manipulated The New York Times, CNN, and The Washington Post during Obamagate and Russiagate are still active, leaking classified intelligence for political purposes.
In a transcript provided by RealClearPolitics, Benny Johnson is quoted as saying, "The media being used as a propaganda mechanismwe saw it flatly. I mean, I think its the smoking gun, quite frankly, of the Obamagate narrative and the Russiagate narrative."
He further questioned Gabbard about the ongoing operation, asking if she was aware of intelligence agencies working directly with media outlets to promote prescribed narratives, regardless of their veracity.
Gabbard responded, "Its something that weve already had to deal with, Benny, within this administrationwhere there are people within the intelligence community who believe that their will is more important than the will of the American people, and will weaponize intelligence by leaking it to their friends within the mainstream media with the intent of undermining President Trumps agenda."
She emphasized that intelligence professionals are obligated to fulfill their mandate to the Constitution and the President, who was duly elected by the American people. Those who leak intelligence to their friends in the mainstream media with the intent of undermining the president are subverting the will of the people and therefore undermining the Constitution.
Johnson expressed his astonishment at the ongoing situation, referring to it as Operation Mockingbird and expressing disbelief at the blatant use of the media as government organs to disseminate propaganda.
Gabbard concluded, "This is why what were doing is so important, Benny. And this is why President Trumps mandate in this is really critical. By exposing the truthby exposing the bad actors within the intelligence community and in the political space who are weaponizing intelligence to advance their own political interestsis so important."
She stressed the importance of shedding light on dark corners, exposing the truth, and enforcing accountability as the only way to restore trust in the intelligence community. This revelation underscores the need for vigilance and transparency in our intelligence community and media outlets, as well as the importance of holding those who misuse their power accountable.
