Shocking Details Emerge In Deadly Colorado Rock-Throwing Spree By Three Teens

Three Colorado teenagers were charged with murder after rock-throwing attacks on vehicles across Jefferson and Boulder counties.

Fox News reports that these attacks left 20-year-old Alexa Bartell dead, and apparently, the attackers took a picture of the damaged vehicle as a memory of what they had done.

The Jefferson County Sheriffs Office identified the three teenage suspects as Joseph Koenig, Nicholas Mitch Karol-Chik, and Zachary Kwak.

Fox News reports that the three friends made plans via Snapchat on April 19 to engage in these attacks. They started to throw stones at cars without any care about the consequences of what would happen when they did so. They drove around town for some time, but then they stopped at a local Wal-Mart and purchased some landscaping rocks. They then began to take those rocks and throw them at various vehicles in the area.

A teenager who witnessed the incident said he saw the three suspects loading rocks into their truck before the alleged incident. This was critical because it helped law enforcement make the connection between these three boys and what they had done.

The same witness later told police that one of the suspects frequently participates in destructive behavior because he simply enjoys the chaos he can create.

Fox News reports that the three male teenage suspects are said to have thrown rocks at five different vehicles throughout the night. One of the vehicles belonged to Bartell, and the victim was talking to a friend on the phone before the rock struck her vehicle. This happened at approximately 11 PM. Bartells vehicle was hit, and it caused her to die on impact. Her friend had been talking with her right up until the moment that she was attacked. When she was attacked, the phone went silent, which was perhaps the most jarring thing.

After the suspects struck Bartells car, one allegedly said: We have to go back and see that. They turned around to go back and see the car. It was at that point that they allegedly took pictures of the vehicle that they had damaged.
