President Donald Trump has significantly shortened the timeline for Russian President Vladimir Putin to negotiate a ceasefire in Ukraine.
Initially set at 50 days, Trump has now reduced this period to a mere "10 to 12 days," as he announced during a meeting with U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Turnberry, Scotland. "Im gonna make a new deadline of about 10, 10 or 12 days from today," Trump informed reporters.
He expressed frustration over the lack of progress, stating, "Theres no reason theyre waiting its 50 days, I want to be generous, but we just dont see any progress being made."
As reported by WND, Trump expressed his disillusionment with Putin's actions, highlighting previous attempts to resolve the conflict. "We thought we had that settled numerous times, and then President Putin goes out and starts launching rockets into some city like Kyiv and kills a lot of people in a nursing home or whatever, you have bodies lying all over the street. And I say thats not the way to do it," he remarked.
Trump's disappointment in Putin is palpable, as he stated, "Im disappointed in President Putin, very disappointed in him. Im going to reduce that 50 days that I gave him to a lesser number because I think I already know the answer whats going to happen."
The President has also made it clear that he is not inclined to engage in further discussions with Putin, citing the Russian leader's untrustworthy behavior. "Im not so interested in talking anymore," Trump declared. "We have such nice conversations, such respectful and nice conversations, and then people die the following night with a missile going into a town."
