While vacationing near Athens, Israeli tourist Stav Ben-Shoshan and his wife found themselves in a harrowing situation when they were reportedly attacked by a group of Syrian migrants with anti-Semitic and pro-Palestinian sentiments.

The incident, which took place on Bolivar Beach, escalated to a violent confrontation, resulting in Ben-Shoshan sustaining a severe injury.

According to Breitbart, the altercation began when an unidentified man approached Ben-Shoshan and his companions, filming them while shouting inflammatory remarks such as, Free Palestine, to hell with Israel, I am Hamas. The situation quickly deteriorated into physical aggression, with pushing, shoving, and sand throwing.

The Jerusalem Post further details that Ben-Shoshan intervened when the man attempted to assault his wife, leading to a struggle during which the assailant bit off part of Ben-Shoshan's ear. This brutal act has left him requiring medical attention.

The Foreign Ministry, as reported by Ynet, confirmed that the group of migrants recognized the Israelis and proceeded to harass them. The attacker, who inflicted the grievous injury, is currently in custody, and authorities are actively engaged with the situation.

Ben-Shoshan expressed his disbelief to YnetNews, stating, I still cant comprehend how someone bites off another persons body part. Its monstrous. His wife, understandably traumatized, witnessed the horrifying aftermath of the attack.

This incident is part of a troubling pattern of anti-Israel sentiment manifesting in violence against Israeli tourists in Greece. The Times of Israel highlighted a similar occurrence days prior, where Israeli teenagers were targeted by anti-Israel assailants on the island of Rhodes.

Additionally, an Israeli-owned cruise ship was rerouted to Cyprus after being denied entry to the Greek island of Syros due to a significant anti-Israel protest at the port.
