In a shocking revelation from Alabama, a group of 10 children, some as young as two years old, have been held captive and sexually abused in a storm bunker for the past three years.
The children were reportedly victims of a sex trafficking ring, with some of the perpetrators believed to be parents of the victims, according to local law enforcement.
As reported by The Post Millennial, seven individuals have been apprehended in connection with these heinous crimes. The children were subjected to sexual abuse involving the use of objects such as animal shock collars, according to the Bibb County Sheriff's Department. Sheriff Jody Wade expressed his horror at the situation, stating, I know Gods forgiveness is boundless, but if there is a limit, weve reached it.
The victims, aged between 2 and 15, are currently under the care of the Alabama Department of Human Resources and are receiving counseling. The suspects, identified as Rebecca Brewer, 29; Sara Louise Terrell, 41; Ricky Terrell, 44; Dalton Terrell, 21; William Chase McElroy, 21; Andres Velazquez-Trejo, 29; and Timothy St. John, 23, are facing a multitude of charges, including human trafficking, child rape, and sexual torture.
The suspects have each played a part in the sex trafficking ring, according to police. Velazquez-Trejo is alleged to have drugged the victims before clients arrived, charging them $1,000 to rape the children. The children were often restrained during the abuse.
Authorities have revealed that two victims were coerced by the suspects to engage in sexual acts with each other. The bunker, where the abuse took place, was either owned by or located near a property owned by McElroys grandparent, according to Bibb County Assistant District Attorney Bryan Jones.
Jones further disclosed that McElroy had instructed some of the victims on how to perform sexual acts by demonstrating them himself. Court documents reveal that Sara Louise Terrell also used shock collars on the children, both as a form of punishment and for sexual gratification. The victims included the children of Terrell, Velazquez-Trejo, and Brewer.
The relationship between Velazquez-Trejo and Brewer has resulted in three children, with Brewer having a fourth child from another relationship. It remains unclear whether all four children were among the victims. The extent of involvement of Terrell's children and the identity of their father also remain undisclosed.
All three Terrells have been charged in connection with the crimes, but their relationship to each other is yet to be clarified. Sheriff Wade acknowledged the complexity of the case, stating, "there's no telling" how many victims there have been. The investigation, in collaboration with the Department of Homeland Security, continues.
The investigation will also explore potential links to the Seranos gang in Mexico, known for profiting from child sex trafficking. Sheriff Wade expressed his deep concern for the victims, stating, No child deserves this, the power and control of it, the stealing the innocence of a child and the horrible victimization they went through with these monsters. Some of the older children will carry this vividly for the rest of their lives. You cant heal from this, but you can move on as best you can.
This case serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing fight against child exploitation and the importance of stringent law enforcement to protect the most vulnerable members of society.
