Kentucky School Chairman Resigns After Unbelievable Facebook Post

Jeffrey Miller, who served as the chairman of the Erlanger-Elsmere Independent School District in Kentucky, has stepped down following scrutiny over a controversial Facebook post from 2018.

The post allegedly encouraged violence against Republicans, urging people to "shoot Republicans." This revelation has sparked significant backlash and calls for his resignation.

According to Breitbart, the controversy surrounding Miller intensified when it was revealed that he also allegedly posted derogatory remarks about law enforcement, stating, "F*** the police." The situation prompted Kentucky State Representative Steven Doan, a Republican, to advocate for Miller's resignation.

In a statement to the Daily Mail, Doan emphasized, "These [types of comments] have no place in our schools or community. Political violence and criminal behavior are unacceptable, and we must model better conduct for our children." Doan further expressed his concerns in an op-ed for the Cincinnati Enquirer, where he highlighted Miller's inflammatory remarks about the NRA and Republicans.

Doan's op-ed underscored the gravity of Miller's comments, noting, "In a social media post, Miller expressed conditional support for the NRA if 'these psychos were just once the victims of a mass shooting,' adding, 'please shoot Republicans.'" He further criticized Miller's rhetoric as a direct affront to the values of the community, where Republicans constitute the majority political affiliation.

Doan pointed out that Republicans account for approximately 55% of registered voters in Kenton County, which encompasses Erlanger and Elsmere. He also referenced his own electoral success, securing 62% of the vote in a politically diverse area, as evidence of the community's prevailing values, which he argued Miller's statements undermined.
