Ric Grenell Makes Bold Move Against California's Disaster Funding!

Ambassador Ric Grenell, serving as President Donald Trump's envoy for special missions, has expressed a firm stance regarding federal funding for California's disaster management.

On Sunday, Grenell conveyed his advice to the President, urging a halt on financial assistance to the state until it addresses its underlying issues.

As reported by Breitbart, Grenell, who is informally overseeing the federal response to the California wildfires, attributed the disaster to the alleged mismanagement by Governor Gavin Newsom. In a detailed post on X, Grenell highlighted the state's failure to clear brush near vulnerable communities, ensure adequate water supply, and maintain residents' fire insurance policies as key areas of concern.

Despite these issues, Newsom is seeking $40 billion in aid while simultaneously criticizing President Trump instead of tackling the root causes. "Ive told DJT we shouldnt spend federal money on California if the problems arent fixed first," Grenell stated.

As California approaches the six-month mark since the Palisades and Eaton fires, the state has made progress in debris clearance but has seen minimal advancement in rebuilding efforts. These delays are largely attributed to state and local bureaucracies.

Meanwhile, Governor Newsom has been occupied with launching his podcast and criticizing President Trump, seemingly positioning himself for the 2028 Democratic Party presidential primary. His upcoming visit to South Carolina, the first primary state, includes a tour through eight rural counties, where he intends to emphasize his experience in managing natural disastersa claim many Californians might dispute.
