President Donald Trump has unveiled plans for an unprecedented event to mark America's 250th birthday, announcing that a UFC fight will be hosted at the White House next year.

This announcement was made during a speech at the Iowa State Fairgrounds, where he outlined a series of celebratory events planned for the nation's milestone anniversary.

As reported by Fox News, Trump stated, "Every one of our national parks, battlefields and historic sites are going to have special events in honor of America250 and I even think were going to have a UFC fight." He further elaborated on the ambitious plan, saying, "Does anybody watch UFC? The great Dana White? Were going to have a UFC fight. Were going to have a UFC fight think of this on the grounds of the White House. We have a lot of land there." The President emphasized the involvement of UFC CEO Dana White, a close ally, in organizing the event, adding, "Were going to build a little were not, Dana is going to do it. Dana is great, one of a kind going to be a UFC fight, championship fight, full fight, like 20,000 to 25,000 people, and were going to do that as part of 250 also."

While the prospect of a UFC fight on the White House lawn is certainly intriguing, it remains to be seen how this will be executed. No formal permits or logistical arrangements have been confirmed, and the National Park Service, which oversees the White House grounds, has yet to comment on the proposal. Similarly, the UFC has not issued any statements to confirm or deny the plan.

Trump's affinity for the UFC is well-documented, as evidenced by his attendance at a UFC event in Newark, New Jersey, this past June. His presence at the event, alongside Dana White, was met with enthusiastic applause from the crowd. This warm reception mirrored the one he received at the Kaseya Center in Miami during UFC 314, where he was accompanied by a notable entourage, including his granddaughter Kai Trump and FBI Director Kash Patel.

As the nation approaches its 250th anniversary, the proposed UFC fight at the White House symbolizes a unique blend of sports and patriotism, reflecting the President's penchant for grand gestures and his enduring friendship with Dana White. The coming months will reveal whether this ambitious plan will come to fruition, offering a distinctive celebration of America's storied history.
