During a recent episode of ABC's "The View," co-host Joy Behar expressed skepticism about President Donald Trump's truthfulness, suggesting his frequent falsehoods make it difficult to discern reality.
Behar remarked, "This was just a preliminary report and Trumps CIA director is backing their claim that the damage was severe. But if Trump already had made up his mind about this, he already made up his mind before he knew and we knew what really happened so is he obliterating the truth? He loves that word." Her comments reflect a broader concern about Iran's nuclear capabilities, a topic that has troubled her since childhood. "I hope, I wanted him to be successful but he lies so much that you never know what the truth is," she added.
As reported by Breitbart, Behar questioned the President's rhetoric, asking, "Why does he have to come out and say we obliterated?" This prompted co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin to respond with a rhetorical, "Have you met Donald Trump?"
Behar further inquired about the lack of restraint on the President's statements, to which Griffin replied, "I dont think anyone controls what he says." Griffin highlighted the contrast with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Caine, who provided a more measured briefing, praising the operation's success and the valor of U.S. troops.
The discussion underscores ongoing debates about the President's communication style and its implications for national security and public trust. While Behar's concerns about nuclear threats are shared by many, the conversation also reflects differing perspectives on how military successes are communicated to the public.
