GOP Rep. Demands AG Pam Bondi Strip NYC Socialist Candidates Citizenship

In a bold move, Representative Andy Ogles (R-TN) has officially requested that Attorney General Pam Bondi launch an investigation into the U.S. citizenship status of Zohran Mamdani, a radical socialist and current candidate for New York City Mayor.

Ogles' concerns stem from allegations that Mamdani may have secured his citizenship under false pretenses, including potential affiliations with convicted terrorists.

"Zohran 'little muhammad' Mamdani is an antisemitic, socialist, communist who will destroy the great City of New York," Ogles declared. He further insisted on the necessity of deportation, stating, "He needs to be DEPORTED. Which is why I am calling for him to be subject to denaturalization proceedings."

As reported by Gateway Pundit, Ogles' letter to the Department of Justice highlights Mamdani's public support for the Holy Land Foundation Five, a group convicted in 2008 for channeling millions of dollars to Hamas, a foreign terrorist organization recognized by the U.S.

This organization is responsible for numerous civilian deaths. Ogles argues that Mamdani's vocal support for these convicted terrorists, expressed prior to his U.S. citizenship, could be seen as a deliberate misrepresentation or concealment of terrorist sympathies during his naturalization process.

Ogles didn't hold back in his criticism of Mamdani, chastising him for his refusal to condemn the pro-terrorist slogan "Globalize the Intifada." This radical phrase, recently used in leftist street protests, calls for violent uprisings worldwide, including within the United States.

In his letter to the DOJ, Ogles stated, I write to request that the Department of Justice open an investigation into whether Zohran Kwame Mamdani, currently a candidate for Mayor of New York City, should be subject to denaturalization proceedings under 8 U.S.C. 1451(a) on the grounds that he may have procured U.S. citizenship through willful misrepresentation or concealment of material support for terrorism."

Ogles' letter further detailed Mamdani's public support for the Holy Land Foundation Five, referring to them as "my guys." The Congressman argued that such public praise raises serious concerns about undisclosed affiliations or sympathies during Mamdani's naturalization process.

Ogles also criticized Mamdani for his recent refusal to reject the pro-terrorist rallying cry to globalize the intifada, a call to expand violent attacks on civilians to the United States and around the world. He argued that such behavior, combined with earlier expressions of admiration for individuals convicted of supporting terrorism, creates a troubling pattern that warrants formal scrutiny.

The Congressman concluded his letter by emphasizing the importance of honesty and transparency in the naturalization process, particularly regarding affiliations with groups that threaten U.S. national security.

He urged the Department of Justice to determine whether Mamdani's conduct prior to naturalization warrants formal review under applicable law, underscoring the federal government's responsibility to uphold public trust by ensuring that citizenship is not granted under false pretenses.
