A TikTok user who filmed the fatal stabbing of a Canadian father in front of his family at a Starbucks is receiving criticism after taking a selfie next to the victim's body and smiling during the horrifying scene.

It is said that Alex Bodger recorded the sickening incident outside the Vancouver coffee shop on Sunday after confronting the suspect about vaping in the presence of his three-year-old daughter.

The Toronto Sun has reported that Bodger, known as Gora Pakora on TikTok, appeared to smirk as he filmed the attack, drawing the ire of the public for what many deem an inappropriate reaction to a ghastly crime.

People have expressed their disgust through social media sites such as Twitter, criticizing him for taking advantage of a gruesome incident. In spite of this, Bodger, in his interview with Global News, claimed that the encounter was traumatic for him.

However, one Twitter user claimed that Bodger even took a selfie beside the victim's body and returned the next day to smoke at the crime scene. Further in his airing of events, the social media influencer said, "I tend to smile during uncomfortable situations," attempting to justify his response.

He began to chronicle the moment by saying he was walking down the street and thought it was a street fight before running over with his phone to capture the scene. Contrarily, it is reported that Bodger posted a video discussing the stabbing, stating: "Yeah, this s [the stabbing] doesnt faze me too much. Ill just say human life, to me, the way I look at it, if I dont know you, is meaningless hes dead. What can we do now?

The suspect, Inderdeep Singh Gosa, aged 32, was arrested inside the Starbucks and charged with second-degree murder. Paul Stanley Schmidt, the 37-year-old victim, was allegedly attacked after asking Gosa not to vape close to his young daughter. Schmidt's mother has expressed her anguish, describing her son as someone who was trying to protect his child.

His fiance witnessed the entire event and saw the father of her child take his last breath. They have pleaded with the public not to circulate the video, and the police have endorsed this statement.
