SHOCKING Leaked Audio: David Hogg Leaves DNC Chair In Tears!

Written by Published

David Hogg, the anti-gun activist who rose to prominence following the 2018 Parkland shooting, and Ken Martin, the chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), are two figures who seem to be at odds with each other.

Despite their shared political affiliation, their recent interactions suggest a brewing storm within the DNC.

Hogg, who was not present at the school during the Parkland shooting but arrived later to engage with the media, has recently been elected as the vice-chair of the DNC. However, he now faces a re-vote due to what the DNC labels as a procedural issue.

This has nothing to do with Hogg's expenditure of $20 million from his own Political Action Committee (PAC) to challenge Democrats he deems not sufficiently left-leaning in safe blue seats, according to the Western Journal.

On the other hand, Martin, the DNC chair, has been grappling with a series of challenges since he assumed the role in February. A leaked audio from a Zoom call on May 15, obtained by Politico, reveals Martin expressing frustration and self-doubt about his position within the party.

In the audio, Martin is heard saying to Hogg, Ill be very honest with you, for the first time in my 100 days on this job [pause] the other night I said to myself for the first time, I dont know if I wanna do this anymore. He continues, No one knows who the hell I am, right? Im trying to get my sea legs underneath of me and actually develop any amount of credibility, so I can go out there and raise the money and do the job I need to to put ourselves in a position to win.

Martin also accuses Hogg of undermining his leadership, stating, And again, I dont think you intended this, but you essentially destroyed any chance I have to show the leadership that I need to. So its really frustrating.

In response to accusations of leaking the recording, Hogg took to social media to deny his involvement. However, Malcolm Kenyatta, another DNC vice chair involved in the re-vote issue, has publicly accused Hogg of being the source of the leak. Hogg has not responded to these allegations.

Meanwhile, Martin, through a representative, has stated, Im not going anywhere. He continues, I took this job to fight Republicans, not Democrats. As I said when I was elected, our fight is not within the Democratic Party. Our fight is and has to be solely focused on Donald Trump and the disastrous Republican agenda. Thats the work that I will continue to do every day.

The tension between Hogg and Martin paints a picture of a party in disarray, with a young activist and an experienced party leader at loggerheads. The outcome of this internal conflict will be revealed on Wednesday when the DNC votes on whether to hold new vice chair elections.

The situation is reminiscent of a Shakespearean duel, with the ambitious Hogg and the vacillating Martin locked in a power struggle. Regardless of the outcome, the discord within the DNC could have far-reaching implications for the party's unity and effectiveness in the face of opposition.

The current scenario also raises questions about the party's stance on key issues. While Martin has shown support for rioters and illegal immigrants in Los Angeles, his ability to stand up to a young activist within his own party is being questioned.

This internal conflict could potentially undermine the party's credibility and its ability to present a united front against its political adversaries.
