Van Hollen Melts Down AGAIN Over Trump's Handling Of Abrego Garcia Case!

During a segment on MSNBC's "Deadline," Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) expressed concerns about the implications of President Trump's actions regarding the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia to face criminal charges.

Van Hollen emphasized the broader significance of this case, stating, "If President Trump and his administration can trample the rights of one person, the rights of all of us are at risk."

As reported by Breitbart, Van Hollen hailed the development as a triumph for constitutional principles and due process. He remarked, "This is a victory for due process. Its a victory for the Constitution. It should not have taken this long. I mean, as you indicated, the Trump administration dragged its feet for a very long time, ignored a 9-to-0 order from the Supreme Court. But its important that Abrego Garcia now come home and have his due process rights upheld in a court of law."

Van Hollen further elaborated on the significance of the case, underscoring its implications for constitutional rights. "You know, Ive said repeatedly, repeatedly, this is not about the man, Abrego Garcia. This is about his constitutional rights and really the rights of all of us," he asserted. The senator criticized the administration's initial stance, noting, "They said hed never set back foot back in the United States again."

However, he acknowledged that judicial pressure played a role in the administration's eventual compliance, adding, "I think because of the pressure from the courts and from others. They realize that not following the Constitution, at least in this instance, was the wrong path."

The case of Abrego Garcia serves as a reminder of the ongoing tension between executive actions and constitutional mandates. While this development marks a positive step for the rule of law, questions remain about future adherence to court orders.
