Karen Bass Melts Down Over ICE RaidsAs Riots Explode Across The City!

In a dramatic confrontation in Los Angeles, anti-ICE and Antifa demonstrators clashed with immigration authorities and police, leading to a tense standoff on Friday evening.

The unrest erupted as Mayor Karen Bass voiced her opposition to what she described as "terror" tactics employed by ICE, underscoring the city's commitment to its immigrant population.

Law enforcement officials resorted to using flash bang grenades to disperse the aggressive crowd, which sought to obstruct the arrests. According to the New York Post, the operation resulted in the detention of 44 individuals by ICE.

Mayor Bass, in a statement, expressed her dismay at the federal immigration actions, stating, "As Mayor of a proud city of immigrants, who contribute to our city in so many ways, I am deeply angered by what has taken place. These tactics sow terror in our communities and disrupt basic principles of safety in our city. My Office is in close coordination with immigrant rights community organizations. We will not stand for this."

As reported by The Post Millennial, the violence was partly orchestrated by the far-left extremist group Antifa, known for its radical tactics. The police deployed tear gas and other non-lethal measures to control the situation, which saw agitators pursuing an ICE vehicle, with one individual attempting to halt its progress.

The protest also witnessed acts of vandalism and property destruction, with many participants concealing their identities behind masks.

In response to Mayor Bass's remarks, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) criticized the violent actions against law enforcement, stating, "The violent targeting of law enforcement in Los Angeles by lawless protestors is despicable. These men and women work every day, putting their lives on the line, to protect and defend the lives of American citizens.

Mayor Bass, ICE is not responsible for 'sowing a sense of terror' the protestors YOU enabled are. Bass, however, reiterated her commitment to protecting all residents of Los Angeles, regardless of their immigration status, emphasizing that the city is a "city of immigrants."

The Trump administration did not hold back in its criticism of Mayor Bass's stance. White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller took to social media to assert federal authority, stating, You have no say in this at all. Federal law is supreme and federal law will be enforced."

Meanwhile, White House adviser Sebastian Gorka highlighted the distinction between illegal immigrants and lawful residents, referencing a recent incident involving Mohamed Soliman, an Egyptian illegal immigrant charged with attempted murder in Boulder. Gorka remarked, Theyre Illegals. Not immigrants. One just tried to burn Americans alive in Boulder."

The events in Los Angeles have reignited the debate over immigration enforcement and the role of local governments in cooperating with federal authorities. The clash between city officials and the Trump administration underscores the ongoing tension surrounding immigration policy and the balance between federal and local jurisdiction.

As the situation unfolds, the focus remains on the safety and security of both law enforcement personnel and the communities they serve.
