BEWARE: Travel To DC Area Next Week Will Be GREATLY Affected By Trump's Army Parade!

President Donald Trump is set to host a grand military parade next Saturday, paying tribute to both military veterans and active-duty service members in celebration of the U.

S. Army's birthday.

This significant event is scheduled for June 14, marking the 250th anniversary of the United States Army, coinciding with Flag Day and President Trump's birthday.

As reported by Fox News, Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA) has announced an expected suspension of flights during the parade. "To accommodate aircraft flyovers along the parade route, followed by a fireworks display, the Federal Aviation Administration is expected to suspend airline operations at DCA affecting scheduled flights," reads an airport press release.

Travelers with reservations for the evening of June 14 are advised to verify their flight status directly with their airlines. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is collaborating with the Department of Defense to finalize a comprehensive flyover plan, detailing the types and number of aircraft involved.

Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) will be issued in conjunction with the Department of Homeland Security to ensure the safety and security of the event.

These restrictions will expand the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan Area Special Flight Rules Area (DC SFRA) and the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area Flight Restricted Zone (DC FRZ).

The parade is slated to commence at 6:30 p.m. and conclude at 9:30 p.m. on June 14. The FAA spokesperson noted that "The FAA will implement traffic management initiatives (TMI) at DCA before, during, and after the event to ensure safety and will facilitate a return to normal operations once the event concludes. During the peak of the celebration, the TMI stops all arrivals and departures." Passengers are encouraged to utilize the D.C. Metrorail for airport access, as road closures are expected to extend travel times. The DCA release advises against event parking and warns of "no fireworks viewing" due to ongoing construction.

The parade will unfold on Constitution Ave NW, stretching from 15th Street to 23rd Street. Attendees can anticipate a display of historical U.S. Army personnel re-enactors, period-accurate equipment, vehicles, flyovers, and military bands, as detailed by America250.

"The event is designed not only to showcase the Armys modern capabilities but also to inspire a new generation to embrace the spirit of service, resilience, and leadership that defines the United States," the America250 site states.

This celebration underscores the enduring values of service and leadership, aiming to inspire future generations to uphold these principles.
