According to Politico, Squire was "informally" involved with Jean-Pierre as early as 2023, a relationship that included being copied on official White House emails.
This arrangement raised concerns among staffers and prompted inquiries from Axios' Alex Thompson, who was initially assured that the allegations were "unequivocally untrue."
Thompson, however, has since exposed the falsehood of these denials. He shared evidence of Squire's involvement, including an email from the fall of 2023 in which she was included in official correspondence regarding Jean-Pierre's Vogue profile.
When confronted, Squire attempted to deflect criticism by claiming she did not begin working with Jean-Pierre "professionally" until after her departure from the White House. This defense, however, does little to address the allegations of informal collaboration during her tenure.
