Experts Warn Of These Dangerous 'Gender Bending' Chemicals Found In Everyday Items

Experts sound the alarm bell to let people know that there are potentially some gender bending chemicals in everyday products that could significantly impact your life and your ability to enjoy that life.

Sadly, many people are still unaware of the chemicals that exist all around them that might impact their ability to live normally and how they want to.

The Daily Mail reports that Bisphenol A (BPA) is one chemical that experts are particularly concerned about. This chemical is used in industrial packaging materials, but there are concerns that this is an endocrine disruptor. That means this chemical can mimic the natural hormones in the human body. This is important to remember because this chemical may change how your body reacts to exposure to these chemicals.

European officials are calling for a dramatic reduction in the use of BPA to help reduce the exposure levels that people have been dealing with for a very long time. This move will create distance between how the EU deals with certain chemicals and how the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (USDA) deals with those chemicals. The EU will be much stricter on the regulations of chemicals like this than will the USDA.

Matthew Casale, director of environmental campaigns at the Public Interest Research Groups, spoke with the Daily Mail about this and said: The FDA should take stronger steps to reduce our exposure to BPA in popular household products.

He added: Americans expect and believe that our government is safeguarding their health and the health of their families from dangerous chemical exposure.

Laura Vandenberg, a public health expert at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, also said, Theres nothing different about the physiology of an American compared to a European. So, if its hazardous in Europe, its hazardous for us.

Dr. Vandenberg added, We need to acknowledge that if another agency has looked at these data and is drawing a conclusion intended to protect public health, then were the ones behind... Were the ones who arent being protective enough in the U.S.

Overall, there is a lot of concern about the chemicals that might become part of the everyday experience of Americans and more who are working on trying to keep these chemicals out of their bloodstream and their life.
